First O in little over a year!
« on: August 26, 2016, 10:01:38 PM »
Got a bj tonight from my fiancĂ©e.  Not sure what happened but I had an honest to goodness orgasim.  It felt amazing and the best part was that classic after glow.  Just sit back and bask in the relief.

I'm convinced it's tension in my pelvis.  I'm also going to see a pelvic specialist physiotherapist on Monday.  She's already told me that muscle tension can absolutely mute an orgasim.

Don't ever give up on seeking help on this!
Don't believe it won't change!

Best wishes to you all

Yes tension potentially but there is a wide spectrum of issues to consider. Like you I'm waiting to see a physio on the 9th September but I fear advice will revolve around pointless generic exercises. The next step along is a chiropractor that may be useful in identifying postural issues. I am still waiting on an MRI scan of my brain but I've been refused one for my pelvis as the neuro-urologist didn't think it would show anything. It's frustrating to me because an MRI would show where the pudendal/sacral nerves run in order to use that data for other specialists. It is because he personally cannot help me that he's chosen for me not to have the MRI and it's just a very narrowminded and thoughtless approach in my opinion. That is the state of the modern health care sadly. I'm sure that were I to start really pushing for an MRI I may be able to get myself one but this will take many more months of pleading. In the mean time I have to approach physio/chiros with no evidence based information that can help them help me.

Before you see the physio list all the symptoms you get but do not use phrases that imply as though you know what the problem is, because this will not help them and confuse them. What we need is someone that is prepared to get hands on with the pelvis and not just talk a lot of waffle about it. Like you my orgasms can fluctuate to really quite good to terribly disappointing but my pelvis to me is just a lump of bone and flesh and I have no idea what I should be doing in the area.

And you won't have any idea either unless you see a PELVIC FLOOR Physiotherapist!!!!
Basically they are going to stick some fingers in your ass and tell you how much tension there is.  So many of the "trigger points" are released anally apparently.  I KNOW for a fact that I screwed something up down there by holding a forced kegal for everything I was worth every time I came the last few years.  I always had incredible orgasims but the last year I haven't.  I'll let you guys know as my first appointment is Monday.  However, if your issue is tension related and you go to a physio who doesn't specialize in pelvic floor muscles you are wasting your time!

I've done a couple phone consultations and it's amazing how often they hear of this.  One clinic their biggest patient base is referred to them from the local urologist because they've exhausted the "it's prostititus" avenue.

Wishing you all the best!

Was AWESOME!  She broke down the whole anatomy of the pelvic floor and explained perfectly how it will cause weakened orgasim, dribbling of urine in pants, hemmorhoid problems, everything that I have had since my orgasims have weakened so much

Next week comes the examination of tension and trigger release points.
She's $200/ hr and worth every cent

Here's how it was explained to me.  So much of intensity of orgasim is tied to the pelvic muscles ability to release and contract.  If mine are always contracted it's similar as trying to use your arm with a bicep flex.  She showed me some exercises and home and stuff too

This woman is no slouch she has a masters in Physiotherapy specializing in pelvic floor

Anyways I don't have time to give you guys the play by play
But will defiantly let you know how things go as therapy progresses

I've always known my issue was muscle tension/ injury
I talked about it first when I used to post here

It's just so uplifting to get some answers after feeling hopeless after going the urology/Doctor route

good luck. please keep us posted. I asked my chiropractor for similar treatment yesterday but he declined. I'm waiting for a reply from therapists to see me. it would seem from the fact that so few are available to discuss the condition, that only women actually have a pelvic floor! physios to treat women pelvic floor issues are 10 a penny.

I have an appointment tomorrow with a physiotherapist who specialises in the pelvic floor. and who acknowledges that its not only women who have them, but  that us men have one too!! its quite a drive from where I live but if I get some positive results it will be well worth it. fingers crossed. will report back

update on the pelvis floor tension treatment
I found a specialist eventually who understood what I was saying about the lack of pleasure. he was very helpful and listened to what I had to say without making any pre judgements. he gave me a series of examinations and exercises to do at home. also recommended a glass ''wand'' to try to relax any trigger points that could be present internally ( in the anus). I tried it for a while but didn't really see any noticeable success. I use the wand a couple of times a week but cant really see it has helped. if anybody has had better results than this please post

Carpet how are you doing now? Enough time has passed surely for you to give your verdict on this?
