Title: Relative finger length and testosterone levels - Poll
Post by: rizsa on August 01, 2010, 12:51:38 PM
The length of your Index fingers may show if you received higher does of testosterone at conception.

For example, my index finger is considerably longer than my ring finger, that is associated with very low testosterone.

My gut feeling is that most people on this board will have long index fingers, unlike most men.

Mine are the exact same length, but there's no vote option for it....

I invite everyone who voted to add some comments on their T-levels.

I was never tested for it but am considering it.

23andme has a poll on this. They ask sex m/f, so I assume the results are calibrated for sex.

On your left hand, which finger is longer, your index finger or your ring finger?
  Index finger 17%
  Ring finger 68%
They are the same length 14%
  I'm not sure 1%

Seems like we're coming up on the low testosterone side of the population again.

I can't remember the numbers, but I do recall my testosterone (measured for another purpose originally) to have been more or less smack in the middle of normal range.

My ring finger is longer and my testosterone level is below middle but in normal range.
